Stiklestad National Cultural Centre is an exciting place with a rich history and a wide range of activities. The center tells the captivating story of the Battle of Stiklestad in 1030 and its connection to Norwegian history, especially Stiklestad and St. Olav.

At Stiklestad you can visit a number of historic buildings, which date from the 17th to the 19th century, in the extensive open-air museum. Here you will find, among other things, a bakery, road keeper's house, homestead, mill, carpentry workshop and rorbu. The museum is located in a beautiful landscape with idyllic narrow paths by a small stream.

Stiklestad Church, a medieval stone church built between 1150 and 1180, is also part of the centre. The church is a well-known and beloved place of pilgrimage, and according to history, it was built over the place where Olav Haraldsson was killed in 1030.

It is also organized The Olsok days at Stiklestad in July. It is a unique festival in historic surroundings. There is everything from games, exhibitions, concerts and lectures. Here you can experience historical moments and gain an insight into what life was like at that time.

In the summer season you can experience Viking summer at Stiklestad, here you can explore the medieval farm "Stiklestadir", or take it with you "Spelet om Heilag Olav". Before Christmas is also organized "Jul igjen" at Stiklestad. In addition to many other small and large events throughout the year.

At Stiklestad you will find the restaurant The Bald.
